Dino Melaye Claims Former Leaders Contributed to Nyesom Wike’s Rise
During a recent interview on Arise TV, Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Kogi State, made some startling revelations about Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State.
According to Melaye, former first lady, Patience Jonathan, played a significant role in Wike’s ascendancy to the governorship position. Melaye also alleged that two former governors of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi and Peter Odili, also contributed to Wike’s political success.
Melaye accused Wike of being ungrateful to those who had helped him in his political career. He went on to claim that Wike boasted about the people he had helped but failed to show gratitude towards those who had assisted him.
Melaye highlighted Wike’s past connections, stating that Governor Odili made Wike the chairman of his local government, and Governor Amaechi appointed him as his chief of staff. Moreover, Amaechi nominated Wike to be a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Melaye emphasized that Wike’s political success was due to the help and support of these individuals.
Melaye also claimed that Patience Jonathan had used her money, connections, and influence to ensure Wike’s victory in the gubernatorial election. In addition, Odili had also helped Wike to become the chairman of his local government.
It is important to note that these are allegations made by Melaye and have not been independently verified. It is also crucial to conduct further investigations to verify the authenticity of these claims.
